Mycroft had woken up at his usual hour to go through his morning exercise routine - five miles running, some free weights, and then a shower and a choice of suits. He wasn't entirely sure why he felt the need to dress as if today was going to need a particularly good blending sort of armor - but there he was. Dressing in his favorite tan tweed, with the blue silk tie and handkerchief. Dressed as if to fade in, make himself seem like he was just a ghost in the background.

The spectre at the feast, hah.

He rapped on Jim's door, but hearing nothing, made his way downstairs.

Where he found the man, curled up on the sofa with the oddest contraption he'd ever seen in his life. Both eyebrows raising, he pitched his voice, just so.

"Good morning. Coffee?"

"Well, then I say you should use the ones that are good for public. Save the private ones for when you want something else entirely." Mycroft drawled, one cool eyebrow still lifted.

"Some people like it when I mix it up a little," Jim says without shame. Then again, he's always been a little bit of an exhibitionist. He digs into the bag again, munching on the rest of his pastries. He'd better eat it all before Mycroft stuffs him in a suit.

"Well, I myself will look forward to see how you mix." Mycroft smirked, and put his gaze back to the window. Oh right, food. He had quite forgotten, and started to sip his tea again. He did need to have something on his stomach.
