Mycroft felt like he ought to tense, but then Gregory's words washed over him as easily as the water did, and he knew he had to soothe in kind. Gregory was being completely open in the fact that Addie was part of him, but he'd be loved all on his own without loving his daughter.
Mycroft came closer, sliding soap hands around Gregory's middle so he could kiss the man again. It was what he got for being so damnably charming.
"First of all, no, Addie does not need paperwork. Once you are cleared, she is cleared." Another slow kiss, "Secondly, you should know that while I do not like normal children, as a rule ... Addy is far from normal. She is extraordinary, and I would like her regardless of whether or not I was besotted with her father."
And another kiss, "Which, I am."
He leaned back, so he could turn off the shower, before giving Gregory a knowing look, "Thirdly ... I told you, Gregory, I am quite serious about you. Which means I am quite serious about every aspect of your life, and that includes your family. Now ... I am not saying I am picking out curtains and paint at this moment ... but the option is there."
He stepped out, wrapping a towel around his middle, then handing one off to Gregory. "Fourthly, yes, I do want to impress you and I do want to spend as much time as I can with you -- but I will be perfectly happy to do it at your flat, with your daughter, or just us. Just as long as I can be where you are, darling Gregory, I shall be satisfied."
